About The Position

You can get out on the open road with Arc Herkimer! Bus Aide position: starting rate $16/hour; Monday – Friday; split shifts to full days; 37.5 hours per week. Full Time position available! A typical morning run starts at approximately 5:30am and lasts until 9:30am; a typical afternoon run starts at approximately 2pm and lasts until 5pm. 18+ years old, high school diploma or GED preferred, Agency approvable Driver's License preferred. You’re the first face people with disabilities see in the morning, and the last face in the afternoon! Requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Agency approvable Driver's License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist passengers as necessary in boarding and departing vehicles and to and from homes
  • Assist passengers with the use of safety restraints.
  • Assist passengers as needed with medical and safety issues, providing behavioral intervention per agency policy and passenger plan.
  • Complete documentation.
  • Communicate with passenger's treatment teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of passenger's service plans.
  • May be requested to drive agency vehicle.
