About The Position
Join Our Team! Become a Bus Aide for Plainfield Schools! No Experience Necessary! Help keep our students safe and supported on their journey to and from school and make a meaningful difference every day by supporting students and drivers as a valued member of our transportation team! Why Ride with Plainfield Schools? Family-Friendly Schedule: Weekdays only, no nights or weekends Part-Time Hours: Split-shift schedule (morning and afternoon routes - mid-day routes also available!) Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Pass a background check
- Be physically capable of assisting with lifting, securing equipment, and helping students
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus-but not required. We'll train you!
Responsibilities
- Monitor student conduct while on the bus
- Assist with safe loading and unloading, including wheelchairs, car seats, and seat belts
- Support students with special needs and medical devices
- Communicate and collaborate with drivers, school staff, and families
