About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Bursar Associate. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in reconciling student payments and enhancing the accuracy of payment histories. Your contributions will support the AP/AR Manager and ensure that all student payment queries are addressed promptly. Working remotely, you'll have the opportunity to positively impact students' experiences while managing financial interactions seamlessly.

Requirements

• AA degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience in bursar, financial aid, or student accounting office preferred.
• Familiarity with Campus Nexus/Anthology student information system is a plus.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile student payments and maintain accurate accounts for payment histories.
• Assist the AP/AR Manager with posting cash receipts.
• Provide top-tier customer service during the billing and collections processes.
• Work closely with the student accounting team to ensure consistency between billing and student documents.
• Respond to student inquiries via email and phone regarding finance-related issues.
• Advise students about payment methods and account changes.
• Collaborate with the Bursar Manager on process improvements.
