The General Administration department at Indiana University is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as the first line of contact for inquiries related to the Bursar, Parking, Registrar, and Financial Aid at Student Central. This position involves processing payments as they are received, addressing questions in person, over the phone, and via email, ensuring that all inquiries are handled efficiently and accurately. The role requires processing parking transactions using the T2Flex system, preparing visitor permits, and responding to parking-related questions through various communication channels. Additionally, the individual will troubleshoot accounts for accuracy, collaborating with the Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, and the University Bursar's Office to resolve any system issues that may arise. Monthly audits and adjustments of Service Indicator holds are part of the responsibilities, along with auditing various financial aspects of student accounts for accuracy through IUIE reports, either monthly or as needed. The position also entails performing bankruptcy processing and managing returned/NSF items. The individual will assist in processing refunds as scheduled on Fridays, ensuring that all aid issues are reviewed with Financial Aid prior to issuing refunds, in accordance with Indiana University guidelines. Furthermore, the role includes processing fitness center forms and managing meal plan accounts, as well as claiming electronic payments for the Bursar, Registrar, IUKPD, and Testing Center. Under close supervision, the individual will perform routine administrative tasks related to bursar accounts, such as applying tuition and fees and processing payments. Auditing bursar accounts and payments to ensure compliance with deadlines and applicable regulations is essential, as is communicating any discrepancies to the supervisor and assisting with necessary corrections. The role requires fielding emails and phone calls, responding to inquiries and requests, and explaining policies and procedures to students, parents, employees, sponsoring organizations, departments, and other constituents regarding billing information, including deadlines, interest, payment plans, fees, and processes.
