About The Position

This part-time position at UW-Madison's Division of Extension primarily supports the Burnett County 4-H program, working closely with the 4-H Educator. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, timelines, and schedules while maintaining high quality work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using various methods and technology.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity in a wide range of communication tools and technical platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva, and website management platforms.

  • Ability to develop and design high-quality, visually appealing graphic materials.
  • Ability and desire to learn and manage new technology platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with 4-H programming.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support for a department or group of professionals under general supervision.
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups, providing basic organizational information and routing complex inquiries.
  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums.
  • Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains established methods and organizational systems for electronic/physical records related to work operations.
  • Helps design marketing materials and promotions for programs and communications.
  • Communicates plans, activities, and achievements to the 4-H Program Educator and relevant stakeholders.
