About The Position

This position requires CNC plasma table knowledge and maintenance. The operator will be responsible for loading equipment with plate using an overhead crane, measuring material before and after cutting to ensure compliance with job specifications, and selecting and installing plasma nozzles based on the type and thickness of metal. The operator will also prepare equipment to cut material by downloading the correct CNC program, complete data sheets on material cut, and label each part with the correct job and part number. After cutting, the operator will remove materials using an overhead crane from the burn table and handle them accordingly. Preventive maintenance is also required, including wiping down torches and equipment and replacing consumables as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous burn table work experience.
• Experience with Messer equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand measuring tools and equipment.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform cutting and removal of scrap.
• Mark all drops with plate numbers and heat numbers and return to stock.
• Perform math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions, and convert fractions to decimals or vice versa.
• Lift and move up to 75lbs, and heavier objects with assistance.
