Civilian RN - Burn Step Down Unit - Brooke Army Medical Center- Training provided for Med/Surg Nurses ( US Army Institute of Surgical Research Burn Center) Join our GiaMed team of nurses at the prestigious Burn department, with an opportunity to train and learn a new set of skills! BAMC, located on Fort Sam Houston, is a state-of-the-art 425-bed Academic Medical Center. It serves as the Department of Defense's largest facility and only Level 1 Trauma Center. Requirements

Must be U.S. Citizen
Valid Registered Nursing license from any U.S. jurisdiction
BLS and ACLS Certification Current
Must have at least 2 years of full-time experience working as an RN in a Med Surg Unit, or 1 year full time in a burn unit within the past 4 years.

Manage patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasopressor drugs, and a wide range of procedures of an advanced nature and difficulty where there is a high risk for infection and bodily functions are mechanically assisted by life support equipment.
Assist with invasive procedures and management, such as Swan/Ganz insertion, balloon pump management, temporary pacemaker insertion, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, and perform nursing care for emergency and trauma patients to include pediatric thru adulthood.
Able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system.
