About The Position

Spectrum Youth & Family Services is seeking a Burlington Drop-In Center Coordinator to lead daily operations at our Drop-In Center and support youth ages 14–24 who are experiencing homelessness, housing instability, and other barriers to stability. In this role, you’ll supervise Drop-In Youth Coaches while also working directly with young people to help them access housing, healthcare, education, employment, and other essential resources. As part of the Basic Needs Leadership team, you’ll help create a consistent, supportive environment where youth can strengthen ties to family, natural support networks, community organizations, and other trusted adults as they move toward stability and independence. This is a full time exempt position with a salary range of $55,000 – $ 63,250 and is eligible or an excellent benefits package; including health, HRA, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, LTD, accrued vacation, accrued health leave, and a 403(b) retirement plan.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in providing clinical supervision and/or completion clinical supervisor training preferred.
  • Previous experience in providing client-centered, developmentally appropriate services to adolescents, young adults, and their families experiencing complex and varied mental health and substance use concerns.
  • Understanding of the complex impact of trauma and experience of providing trauma-informed care.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices, such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

  • Knowledge of human development; with special attention to adolescent and young adult biopsychosocial development and family systems.

  • The ability to utilize supervision by asking for assistance, support and training, and accepting and utilizing feedback.
  • Ability to manage time and set priorities to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Valid driver’s license preferred, reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Burlington Drop-In Center. Providing basic mental health and substance abuse screening, self-sufficiency screening, life skills training and support, access to healthy activities, and referral to other services
  • Respond to client crises in the Drop-In
  • Keep accurate and timely documentation within the designated electronic health record (EHR) that adheres to the Drop-In program policies
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with resources, agencies, and providers to coordinate services for youth
  • Engage in continuing education to support professional development and ensures high quality of care
  • Collaborate with Director of Basic Needs to regularly assess and update program policies as they impact Drop-In Youth & staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Basic Needs
  • Attend bi-weekly individual supervision with Director of Basic Needs Burlington
  • Attend weekly Basic Needs Leadership Team group supervision
  • Facilitate weekly Drop-In team meetings, Cross-Over meetings, and Drop-In Group Supervision
  • Assist Director of Basic Needs with interviewing, hiring and training new Youth Coaches
  • Ensure that Youth Coach job responsibilities are being met, including documentation requirements, shared tasks, timely and accurate reporting of time worked, communication and approval of time off requests, scheduling of Respite staff, Professional Development Performance Reviews, program policies and necessary trainings
  • Provide bi-weekly individual supervision to Youth Coaches and direct supervision during working hours
  • Provide crisis support to Youth Coaches who are responding to client crises or emergencies in the Drop-In
  • Hiring, onboarding, and training any Drop-In Center AmeriCorps members.
  • Provide weekly supervision to Drop-In Center AmeriCorps member, and associated trainings and external meetings as required by AmeriCorps parent organization.
  • Facilitate a culture of professionalism, feedback and teamwork among Drop-In staff
  • Track individual needs/performance trends through supervision notes
