About The Position

As a Food Service Worker at Burger King, you'll be responsible for preparing flavorful, flame-broiled burgers for our customers. Requirements

  • Completion of at least two years of high school preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn.
  • Must be able to qualify for a food handlers card.
  • Creditable job-related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a 9 months for 9 months basis.
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds (occasional lifting up to 45 pounds).
  • Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions.
  • Able to take initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way.
  • Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the register to let them know you'll be right with them.
  • Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate products that meet the specific need of the customer.
  • Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while shopping.
  • Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation.
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment, such as an oven, grill, deep-fat fryer, or others in a situation where set procedures are followed utilizing repetitive operations.
  • Accept customer food orders, operate a cash register, accept cash, make change, and provide food orders to customers.
  • Assemble sandwiches and other food products.
  • Participate, along with supervisors/management staff, in the achievement of service and sales goals for the food activity.
  • Assist in ensuring optimum stock availability by taking periodic counts; advise management of slow-moving, out-of-stock, defective, and damaged merchandise.
  • Resolve customer complaints at the lowest level and inform management of barriers to meeting the optimal customer experience.
  • Ensure required level of sanitation is maintained within the assigned working areas and assist in cleaning other areas as required.
  • Assist in unloading, receiving, and storing food and expense supplies.
  • Actively communicate/promote the benefits of the military star credit card to customers in order to drive sales growth and increase customer loyalty.
