About The Position

Provide 90-minute walking tour of underground facility for up to 30 guests.
Present “Bunker Story” and relate to The Greenbrier, local, state and world history.
Generate enthusiasm for bunker subject matter.
Work effectively with other departments to ensure success of the bunker.
Ensure safety/security of facility and guests.
Provide 45-60-minute hotel walking tour for up to 30 guests of The Greenbrier.
Provide historical information to The Greenbrier guests while serving as docent in the President’s Museum.
Collect tour monies and maintain accurate records.
Work is indoors, heated and below ground. Tour includes twenty-five stairs to lower level of power plant. Tour guide must be able to walk backwards and talk.

Requirements

• Experience in conducting tours, presenting information, teaching and public speaking are helpful.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to present tour information while physically leading tour groups.
• Possess and utilize proper grammar
• Possess excellent public speaking skills
• Ability to use Audio Visual equipment for presentation
• Ability to retain and memorize information for 90 minutes hotel and bunker tours
• Ability to walk and speak for two tours (90 minutes each) back to back.
• Tour guide must be able to walk backwards and talk.
