About The Position

As a Bunch Machine Operator at Dekoron Wire & Cable LLC, you will be responsible for setting up and operating the buncher to combine component sub-assemblies into a twisted cable. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred but not required.

• Knowledge of monitoring gauges and indicators to ensure machine functionality.
• Ability to adjust machine controls to exact positions.
• Strong communication skills to understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the buncher to combine component sub-assemblies into twisted cable.
• Strive for continuous improvement in all activities and processes.
• Follow safety practices and promote safety in all processes and activities.
• Load payoff(s) using hoist and sub-assemblies according to lay-up chart.
• Set up equipment with proper dies, gear ratios, tensions, and angles.
• Operate main and auxiliary equipment to perform functions.
• Maintain manufacturing control system paperwork such as line logs and move tickets.
• Inspect products for quality acceptance and maintain logs and SPC forms as required.
• Unload completed products using hoist and clean equipment and tools.
• Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department housekeeping.
• Report unusual conditions, defective material, or equipment to a supervisor.
• Communicate with other shift operators regarding schedules and problems.
• Assist with training of new employees and cross-training of current employees.
