This position performs various manual duties necessary to make molded foam cushions. HSM Transportation is an ISO Certified exclusive complete line manufacturer of C.E. Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme heat.

Responsibilities

• Check (zero out) and maintain scales for proper operation.
• Convey proper foam mixture to mixing blender. Record weight of each ingredient on the weight sheet.
• Use the correct weight of fiber in the appropriate mixes.
• Clean and prepare weigh box for next mix.
• Keep adhesive mixture correct and tips on guns clean.
• Change tips on guns every Friday so they will be ready for the next week.
• Clean magnets on blower before leaving every day.
• Keep all machinery maintained and in proper working condition.
• Turn in all weight and production sheets at the end of each day.
