The Company is a specialist in abrasion and impact resistant steel fabrication, particularly for quenched and tempered alloy and manganese steel. JOB SUMMARY: The bulkwelder operates bulkwelding machines that produce an overlay product that is used in various fabrications. Operators are required to run multiple machines simultaneously.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Operates multiple machines that produce overlay products.
• Performs minor maintenance of the machines
• Measures and confirms that plates are produced to specification.
• Operates overhead cranes, tow-motors and other material handling equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping practices on the machines. Removing flux and slag in a timely manner.
• Logs into and out of operating system to accurately record job process and completion.
• Makes adjustments to machines as needed to maintain quality of plates produced.
• Removes finished products from the machines and identifies them according to size, thickness, tag number and color code
• Ensures plates are produced according to the production sheets and filled out accurately.
• Monitors schedule board for future plates to be produced.
• Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor.
