The Bulk Tank Driver plays a key role in executing assigned driver pick-up and delivery tasks. This includes receiving, transporting, and delivering raw milk from the milk producers (farms) to the processing plants in accordance with standard operating procedures. As a Bulk Tank Driver, you’ll be on the front line of Byrne’s dairy operations—responsible for safely transporting raw milk from local farms to our processing facilities. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and professionalism ensure the quality and integrity of every load we deliver.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Ability to obtain a NYS Milk Receiver’s License
Valid CDL A with Air Brake and Tanker endorsement
Working knowledge of NYS DOT regulations and safety standards

Responsibilities

Operate tanker trucks to collect and transport raw milk while maintaining strict temperature and quality standards.
Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure safe, compliant operation.
Conduct milk sampling and quality testing at farm pickup locations, including temperature and residue checks.
Clean and sanitize tanker compartments to meet rigorous hygiene and food‑safety requirements.
Accurately document weights, temperatures, quality results, and delivery records for regulatory compliance.
Communicate professionally with farm partners and plant personnel to ensure smooth, efficient operations.

Hourly Range - $31.00- $42.00 per hour
Performance bonuses of up to $2,500 biannually
Safety bonuses: $500 for 4‑Star Drivers (paid biannually) $1,000 for 5‑Star Drivers (paid biannually)
