Bulk Packaging Assistant - 2nd Shift (2:15 pm start time)
About The Position
How does YOUR POSITION help us work toward OUR MISSION? Complete metal detection of packaged finished goods Stack finished goods product onto pallet in correct pattern Assist machine operator with changeover procedures including cleaning and sanitizing responsibilities, metal detection, screens, and magnets. Ensure the work team has proper packaging materials and paperwork for the next production run Learn to package finished goods into bags or boxes on all lines. Learn to operate a chain hoist and pallet jack when required. Learn to read scales to ensure proper fill weight. Learn to feed bags through a bag sealer or tie liner and tape boxes using tape guN. Perform frequent cleaning of work area to ensure a safe food environment. Keep work area clean including all tools needed for the job. All other duties as assigned. BASIC EXPECTATIONS OF ALL EMPLOYEES: Help each other learn and grow. Understand and follow all safety and food safety expectations. Demonstrates the ability to work with others, and independently as well as follow directions. Show initiative and willingness to learn. Demonstrate basic comprehension and math skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift up to 50 lbs. Bending, lifting, standing on a consistent basis during workday. Potentially Working In Loud, Dusty Environment
