About The Position
Arkema Pineville, LA ios seeking a Bulk Odorant Delivery Technician to safely transport and deliver light mercaptans (odorants used for natural gas and propane) to customer sites across North America. This role involves long-distance driving, hands-on technical work, and independent decision-making to ensure safe, timely, and compliant deliveries. This position is ideal for experienced CDL drivers who are comfortable working autonomously in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment.
Requirements
- Valid CDL license in good standing (Louisiana preferred)
- Hazmat endorsement
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the petrochemical industry or similar industrial environment
- Experience with long-distance or cross-country driving
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with delivery equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make safety-focused decisions
Responsibilities
- Transport light mercaptans using company-owned bulk trucks and DOT-approved containers
- Operate and connect delivery and yard equipment safely, often without direct supervision
- Prepare trucks and equipment to meet DOT and company safety standards
- Coordinate delivery schedules with customers to ensure site readiness and safe access
- Load delivery vessels in coordination with facility operators
- Complete all required delivery, expense, and regulatory documentation
- Maintain accurate DOT logs, training records, and licenses
- Participate in driver meetings and required safety training
