About The Position
The Bulk Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market plays a crucial role in overseeing the bulk foods department, which is a prominent area visited by hundreds of customers each week. This position is not just about managing products; it involves ensuring that the bulk foods are maintained, packed, and stocked to the highest standards. The Bulk Manager is responsible for following the merchandising Bulk plan, which includes packaging and scaling bulk items, filling bulk bins, and preparing, wrapping, and pricing bulk packages accurately and legibly. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering an extraordinary customer service experience in a friendly environment. In addition to product management, the Bulk Manager is tasked with ordering and maintaining inventory, rotating products using code dates, and adhering to the company's cleaning and sanitation program. Compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards is paramount, and the Bulk Manager must ensure that the department meets all company and environmental regulations, including Weights & Measures and COOL compliance. Communication is key in this role, as the Bulk Manager must effectively convey standards, expectations, and policy changes to team members while providing high levels of customer service. The Bulk Manager will also engage in team development by coaching and providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and making recommendations for merit increases. Regular participation in in-store meetings is expected, along with responsibilities for recruiting, hiring, and making promotion or transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager. This position requires independent judgment to address team member concerns and the ability to take corrective actions when necessary. The Bulk Manager will ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels, leading a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product and the highest level of service to customers.
