About The Position

The Bulk Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, packing, and stocking of all bulk foods featured at Sprouts. This role involves ensuring compliance with merchandising plans, inventory management, and maintaining a high level of customer service in a friendly environment. The Bulk Manager will lead a team to deliver quality products and service while managing various operational tasks.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• 1-2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment and 1 year of managerial leadership experience.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of weekly ad items and ability to assist customers with product location.
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.
• Ability to move products weighing up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Follow the merchandising Bulk plan and ensure proper packaging and scaling of bulk items.
• Order and maintain inventory, rotate product using code dates, and follow the company's cleaning and sanitation program.
• Oversee compliance with safety, health, Weights & Measures, and COOL regulations.
• Communicate standards, expectations, policy changes, and product knowledge to team members.
• Provide high levels of customer service.
• Ensure Bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed.
• Engage and evaluate team members through coaching and feedback.
• Attend and participate in in-store meetings.
• Recruit, hire, and make promotion/transfer decisions in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Exercise independent judgment to address Team Member concerns.
• Document corrective actions when needed.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels for maximum productivity.
• Lead a team to deliver quality products and service.
• Serve as a Key Carrier for the store and/or act as a Manager on Duty as needed.
