About The Position

Under the supervision of the Shipping Department Supervisor, this position operates the bulk truck loading facility to load cement into customer trucks and weigh incoming coal trucks as needed. Duties include processing weight tickets and bills of lading, transferring cement from storage silos to loadouts, maintaining silo levels, obtaining mill analysis when requested, and performing basic operational maintenance on equipment. The role requires computer use, adherence to MSHA and plant safety policies, daily housekeeping and inspections, environmental compliance, quality workmanship, troubleshooting, and flexibility to work where and when needed to support plant operations. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in preventive maintenance or laborer-type position in an industrial environment.
  • Must be able to work a rotating work shift.
  • High school education or equivalent or good mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer skills necessary for loading trucks and railcars.
  • Perform clean-up work as is necessary to keep tools, equipment and working areas clean, orderly and safe.
  • Be able to troubleshoot loading systems and related equipment and perform preventive maintenance, inspections and maintenance repairs as necessary.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and handle railcars for cement loading.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Bulk Loader experience working in the cement industry preferred.
  • Ability to operate locomotive preferred.
  • Knowledge of bulk loading systems preferred.
