About The Position

This position exists to perform the duties of a Rail Car Loading Operator within the LDPE Department.

Requirements

  • Previous Related Experience Required 1-3 years Rail Car Loading experience preferred, but not required.
  • Valid Drivers’ license required.
  • Troubleshooting-Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Reading Comprehension-Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
  • Monitoring-Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure equipment is working properly.
  • Writing-Communicating effectively in writing on work-related documents.
  • Speaking-Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Computer Skills-Ability to use email, excel, and other computer related software need for entering railcar information in the system.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Will require training in Company Policies and Procedures after hire.
  • Current employees must meet all technical and safety training requirements for current position, as specified in the Master Training Plan

Responsibilities

  • Relieve shift properly
  • Check silo levels
  • Inspect Loading stations
  • Inspect Hopper cars for defects
  • Operate Locomotive
  • Weigh Hopper cars
  • Perform minor Hopper car repairs
  • Switching knowledge
  • Perform Loading Operator Round Inspections
  • Perform minor repairs to loading equipment
  • Perform magnet and screen inspections
  • Maintain log book
  • Provide samples to the lab
  • Clean work area per THM
  • Adhere/Implement/educate/train and adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, Federal and State laws, regulatory and company requirements
  • Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.
  • Employee is responsible for managing hazardous and non-hazardous wastes as required by State and Federal regulations and in compliance with FPC-TX policies regarding hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
  • Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
