About The Position

The Bulk Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of diesel-powered tractor-trailers to transport and deliver products to customer locations. This role involves adhering to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company policies while ensuring excellent service during interactions with customers and the sales team.

Requirements

• Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the position and FMCSA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid FMCSA physical certification within 60 days of entry into the position.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Class A CDL for Interstate driving within 60 days of entry into the position.
• Two years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and use a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate diesel-powered tractor-trailers for local and regional deliveries.
• Conduct pre-shift activities including reviewing work schedules and checking equipment.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of the truck and trailers.
• Complete required paperwork for freight, including obtaining signatures for cargo pick-up and delivery.
• Plan trips effectively using maps and GPS to ensure timely deliveries.
• Record daily hours of service using an electronic log in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Load and secure cargo within the trailer to prevent movement and damage.
• Unload freight at customer locations using electric pallet jacks or manually.
• Maintain seal control and ensure all equipment is secured after use.
• Perform post-shift activities including coupling and uncoupling trucks and refueling.
