About The Position

Join our Fiesta Mart Store Operations Team as a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk - 061 Dallas Fort Worth-8th Ave! Proudly celebrating the spirit of Texas, Fiesta Mart combines flavors from around the world with fresh, quality products aimed at diverse communities in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin. For over 50 years, our stores have provided customers with an eclectic assortment of international products, authentic in-house service departments and quality perishable items. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service, assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write Spanish/English.
• Ability to interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers throughout the entire shift.
• Clean, fill and rotate the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• Replenish product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.
