About The Position

The Bulk Clerk position at Sprouts Farmers Market involves handling heavy loads and working in a prominent department. This role requires a passion for delivering extraordinary customer service in a friendly environment, especially for customers making healthy choices. The Bulk Clerk is responsible for the maintenance, packing, and stocking of all bulk foods. This includes following the merchandising Bulk plan, properly packaging and scaling bulk items, filling bulk bins, and accurately preparing, wrapping, and pricing bulk packages. The clerk must rotate product using code dates and adhere to the company’s cleaning and sanitation program. A high level of customer service is expected, ensuring Bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, and maintaining the cleanliness of the Bulk area. The Bulk Clerk assists the Bulk Manager as needed and ensures all equipment is in safe working condition. This role also involves receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise throughout the day. The position is suitable for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years of age
Be dependable and reliable
Ability to work flexible schedule that changes, including night, weekends, and holidays

Be able to perform repetitious activities
Can multi-task, prioritize and stay organized
Must vertically/horizontally transfer product weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 36”, for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance

Responsibilities

Maintenance, packing, and stocking of all bulk foods featured at Sprouts
Following the merchandising Bulk plan by properly packaging and scaling bulk items
Filling bulk bins
Preparing, wrapping, and pricing bulk packages accurately and legibly
Rotating product using code dates
Following the company’s cleaning and sanitation program
Providing a high level of customer service
Ensuring that Bulk items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
Ensuring cleanliness of the Bulk area at all times
Assisting the Bulk Manager as needed
Maintaining all equipment in safe working condition
Receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise as needed throughout the day
Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA and Weights and Measures regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned
