The Building Utility Engineer I will operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair equipment controls on equipment, utility and distribution systems. Included but not limited to domestic water, steam, chilled/hot water systems, HVAC, electrical distribution systems, emergency power systems, vertical lift systems, medical gas and vacuum systems, pneumatic tube systems and building automation.

  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair equipment controls on various systems.
  • Work on domestic water, steam, chilled/hot water systems, HVAC, electrical distribution systems, emergency power systems, vertical lift systems, medical gas and vacuum systems, pneumatic tube systems and building automation.
  • Troubleshoot problems and make needed repairs as needed of system and equipment.
  • Develop positive working relationships with colleagues and customers through good service skills and effective communication.
  • High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of experience.
  • Technical or College education considered in place of years of experience.
  • Skilled in Healthcare/Commercial Maintenance, Building Automation, Plumbing, Electrical, Emergency Power systems and Computer knowledge.
  • Work toward obtaining expert status on at least two systems and obtain State License in related field preferred.
  • Pneumatic tube system experience.
  • Medical Gas experience.
  • Building Automation experience.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Universal EPA certification preferred.
  • City/State license in related field preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
