About The Position

The Substitute Teacher position at Lebanon City Schools is designed for individuals who will serve as building substitutes, reporting to the same building each day. There are positions available for different grade levels including K-2, 3-4, and 5-6. The role is at-will, meaning that the employment is not guaranteed beyond the daily assignments. The pay for this position is $125 per day, and substitutes will work on all days that students are in session. While substitutes will accumulate sick time and earn service credit in STRS, this position does not come with full benefits. If a long-term substitute opportunity arises, individuals will be considered for those positions. After 20 days in a long-term role, the pay will increase to the BA-0 rate on the pay scale. Building substitutes may cover various classrooms including general education, specials (art, music, PE), special education, the media center, and may assist in the office or cover for absent special education assistants.
