This is entry level professional engineering work responsible for supporting assignments requiring the use of basic engineering skills, principles and practices to a wide variety of public works, transportation, construction, and related projects. The Engineer I class of work is typically subtasks associated with larger engineering projects or programs affecting County wide services, structures, and facilities such as highway systems, soil conservation, drainage environmental systems, solid waste facilities, sewers, storm water management systems, pump systems, water and wastewater distribution facilities and operations. The Engineer series is responsible for the administration of County code and ordinances.
