About The Position
The Building Services Worker is responsible for cleaning and servicing public, academic, and administrative areas as directed by management. The role involves executing tasks and assignments in a thorough, professional manner to ensure a clean, attractive, and safe environment with minimal interference to others. The employee will perform custodial duties in accordance with established standards and instructions, taking immediate action to correct any situation that detracts from the positive image of the University of Toledo (UT) or the attractive appearance of the facilities. The worker is expected to observe and respect all department and organizational policies and procedures, seek assistance in understanding any procedures or policies they have questions or concerns about, and work closely with customers to resolve environmental services problems and achieve environmental services goals. The employee must treat each visitor, faculty member, student, and fellow employee with courtesy, compassion, and respect. Adherence to the University of Toledo's goals of excellence in education and research, supported by a set of standards of conduct and ICare standards, is expected at all times.
