The Facilities Technician is responsible, at the direction of the Building Manager and Facilities Supervisor, for ongoing maintenance and repair of assigned facilities or areas. Duties can vary from day to day and a maintenance schedule may be implemented so time management skills are required. Facilities Technician need to have a good knowledge of building skills including HVAC, plumbing, electrical installation, and general building repair. Also, Facilities Technician will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools. Experienced in HVAC, electrical and a degree or certification from a technical school will be beneficial in this role. The Facilities Technician will be self-motivated and able to make the critical decision in support of the monitoring, maintenance and repair of equipment that can affect the operations of the facility.
