Building Services Supervisor | Full-Time | Fort Smith Convention Center

Overview Building Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring standards of cleaning are met, performing custodial quality checks, training new employees on proper custodial procedures & hospitality, general maintenance of facilities, event set-up ensuring client standards are met, scheduling, opening and/or closing of the venue, and other duties assigned by the Director of Operations. This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) This position will remain open until April 17, 2026.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with facility coordination and direct employee supervision
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to function in a multi-task environment
- Ability to work beyond normal business hours as required, including but not limited to nights, weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness throughout the Fort Smith Convention Center and ArcBest Performing Arts Center.
- Manage event set-up & janitorial staff.
- Create weekly staff schedule based on business needs.
- Ability to vacuum, clean restrooms, wipe surfaces, change trash cans, and other cleaning functions as assigned.
- Coordinate and supervise post-cleans and day-to-day janitorial crew
- Ensure room sets meet clients standards and venue is set according to the Banquet Event Order.
- Assist with the daily maintenance operations of the building
- Organize all storage rooms to be in neat and working order
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working condition (vacuums, scrubbers, extractors. etc)
- Train staff on proper use & care of cleaning equipment
- Other Duties as Assigned
