Building Security Officer - 3rd Shift

In the role as the Building Security Officer – 3rd Shift, you will help our team bring the next round of stories to life on the United Center campus. Ready to take center stage? The Building Security Officer – 3rd Shift will ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for all United Center team members and guests by monitoring assigned areas.
Requirements
- Must be able to work well with large groups of people.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
- Basic knowledge of security programs.
- Must have weekend and holiday availability.
- Ability to solve problems, and handle situations with limited standardization.
- Previous security, military, and/or law enforcement experience .
- PERC Card certification and valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
- Monitor CCTV, door alarms and alarm systems.
- Report unsafe and unpresentable circumstances within the work area.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests, resolving concerns, and distributing promotional items.
- Monitor facility security through patrols, stationed posts, and vehicle operations.
- Conduct screenings of employees, contractors, and media using magnetometers.
- Document incidents accurately and enforce facility policies to maintain safety and security.
- Support facility operations through lifting, transporting items, and maintaining knowledge of layout and services.
