Summary of the Role: Security Team Members support the GP Management Team in maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment for all employees and authorized visitors. Key responsibilities include patrolling the premises, monitoring access points, investigating suspicious activity, and enforcing company policies to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement or customer service.
  • Ability to manage high stress faced paced situations and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.
  • A high level of professionalism focusing on internal and external guest service.
  • Excellent communication both verbally and nonverbally.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Extended computer usage
  • Ability to work up to 12 hours a day and rotating shifts
  • Comfortable working in an environment with constant video surveillance
  • Ability to work around plants
  • Work can be dirty/sticky and may leave you smelling like cannabis at the end of the day.
  • Work will be in a warehouse setting: temperatures may vary from warm to cool.
  • Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems, in compliance with Pennsylvania medical cannabis regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and patrols of the facility, including restricted access areas, to ensure regulatory and site security requirements are met.
  • Investigate security incidents, breaches, and suspicious activities; document findings and escalate per SOPs.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, logs, and regulatory documentation in accordance with state requirements.
  • Respond to emergencies, including security alarms, medical events, and facility incidents, following established response protocols.
  • Safeguard the security of personnel, cannabis products, cash, and company assets.
  • Support and participate in required safety drills; assist with training staff on security, access control, and emergency procedures.
  • Coordinate and communicate with law enforcement, fire departments, emergency medical services, and state regulators as required.
  • Enforce visitor management, badge access, and surveillance retention requirements per state and company policies.
  • Maintain audit-ready security records and support internal and external regulatory inspections.
  • Work cross-functionally to maintain exemplary standards of cleanliness, organization, functionality, safety, and security throughout the facility
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient, compliant operations
