About The Position
The Building Official is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the activities of the Building Codes Division within the Department of Community Development. This role involves conducting plan reviews, inspections, and enforcing building codes to ensure compliance with state and county regulations for new constructions and alterations. The Building Official will also collaborate with various divisions to ensure adherence to development codes and provide expert testimony in legal matters when necessary.
