Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of experience
  • Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned work orders daily, to include repairs on and maintenance of mechanical, non-mechanical and electrical equipment. Work must be performed in a safe and timely manner and according to dept. standards and procedures and to manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Observes mechanical devices ) pumps, motors, engines, etc.) in operation and listens to their sounds during equipment check rotations and during daily activity. Notifies supervisors of problems immediately.
  • Keeps accurate records and documentation of work performed and turns in paperwork at end of the shift.
  • Maintains work area in a safe and efficient manner.
  • When requested, independently completes assigned projects/tasks requiring expertise in a specialized trade in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Accurately estimates quantities of materials needed and assures adequate time for ordering.
