About The Position

The Building Materials Supervisor oversees the timely and efficient fulfilment of Sunpro Customers' orders. This position is based in Grand Junction, Colorado, and requires on-site and in-person work. The supervisor will visualize, fulfil, and implement the company vision and core values while ensuring the correct dispatch and delivery of materials to customers. The role involves gathering information for deliveries, monitoring demands, maintaining documentation, and leading inventory oversight. The supervisor will also assist in managing operational and sales activities, resolve customer issues, and ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Bachelor of Science degree in business or another related field highly preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to develop and mentor others & foster teamwork
• Basic knowledge of construction industry
• Effective organizational skills
• Strong computer and 10-key skills
• General mathematic skills

Responsibilities

• Visualizes, fulfils, and implements the company vision and core values
• Timely and correctly oversees the dispatch and delivery of materials to customers
• Gathers information needed for deliveries and enters information in the computer
• Continually monitors demands, dispatches delivery trucks, and verifies each load
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation, reports, and sales records
• Leads the oversight and maintenance of inventory
• Assists in managing operational and sales activities
• Assists customers in problem resolution
• Reviews, understands, and adheres to Sunpro policies and procedures
• Leads, coaches, and trains personnel under sphere of influence adhering to company and human resources guidelines and systems
• May prepare daily cash on delivery (COD), special bank deposits, and other COD preparation
• Maintains insurable driving record
• Provides oversight of yard vehicles and equipment
• Serves as a safety champion, ensuring compliance with all operations and safety requirements
• Other duties as assigned
