Responsibilities

• Perform building preventive and reactive maintenance and repair work.
• Respond to requests for building repair and maintenance.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Consult with Facilities Supervisor concerning work assignments.
• Inspect electrical and HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
• Investigate complaints and take appropriate action.
• Perform maintenance and repair work on electrical systems.
• Install, repair, and replace electrical systems such as wiring, conduit, switches, receptacles, lighting fixtures, grounds, controls, relays, and alarm systems.
• Maintain logs, reports, and job status records using an online computerized maintenance management system.
• Determine tool and material requirements for assigned work.
• Ensure that assigned work is accomplished in accordance with procedures.
• Assist other departments with special events, concerts, etc.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures in all buildings.
• Perform a variety of carpentry and mechanical work and repair buildings.
• Conduct janitorial duties when required and help monitor janitorial contractor.
