Building Maintenance Technician

About The Position

Arcadia Management is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for Lyric Apartments. The ideal candidate will be a professional with the ability to work independently, have a mechanical aptitude and will be customer service driven. The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is maintaining the physical integrity of the buildings and grounds. This involves insuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the maintenance director or property manager.

Requirements

Experience in: Carpentry, drywall, plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, Yardi, LATCH and experience using computers.
High School diploma
Valid driver’s license
Excellent customer service skills required

Nice To Haves

Boilers license (preferred)
CPO License (preferred)
Certified Maintenance Tech Certificate (preferred)

Responsibilities

Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs in a timely and professional manner.
Promote good public relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff.
Assist in completing turnovers.
Inspect vacated apartments before and after make-ready checklist.
Coordinate status with leasing staff.
Be on-call in accordance with scheduling to handle residents’ maintenance emergencies and property emergencies. Including responding to afterhours calls as needed.
Key management and control. This is a shared responsibility of the Maintenance Technician & Community Manager.
Adhere to all Fair Housing laws and regulations
Observe general condition of property
