Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in building maintenance or custodial work, preferably in business or automobile dealerships
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
  • Mechanical aptitude for performing minor repairs and equipment maintenance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Physical strength and dexterity to lift 50 to 100 pounds and perform manual tasks
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and maintain positive working relationships
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule for special events or projects

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior and exterior cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors, stairways, and common areas
  • Maintain landscaping and grounds, including snow removal using equipment as needed
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures and partitions
  • Care for office spaces, meeting rooms, furniture, windows, walls, carpeting, and appliances
  • Maintain and service cleaning equipment, replacing filters and belts as required
  • Manage supply inventory and requisition necessary materials
  • Collect litter and debris from the property
  • Adjust cleaning schedules and patterns based on needs and special events
  • Perform project cleaning such as wood care, floor stripping and waxing, carpet shampooing and extraction, upholstery cleaning, and tile deep cleaning
  • Carry out general custodial tasks including minor repairs to furniture and property, paint touch-ups, drywall repairs, installation of dispensers and hardware, and routine servicing of equipment
  • Drive company fleet vehicles as needed
