About The Position

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of Pine Canyon's buildings, facilities, and equipment. From routine preventive maintenance to specialized repair projects, the technician ensures that all areas remain safe, functional, and well-presented.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying conditions, and be on-call for emergencies
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Experience using a Work Order System or similar software preferred
  • 0–2 years of general maintenance experience (Technician I)
  • Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices (Technician I)
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow (Technician I)
  • 2–4 years of maintenance or building trades experience (Technician II)
  • Demonstrated skills in at least one trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) (Technician II)
  • Ability to work independently on routine maintenance tasks (Technician II)
  • 5+ years of broad maintenance experience in a resort, club, or commercial setting (Technician III)
  • Certifications or licenses in one or more trades preferred (HVAC, electrical, etc.) (Technician III)
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior technicians (Technician III)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs across all club facilities (clubhouse, cabins, recreation, spa/fitness, F&B outlets, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues depending on certification level
  • Assist with carpentry, painting, minor construction, and general building upkeep
  • Receive, track, and complete requests through Pine Canyon's Work Order System, ensuring timely updates and accurate close-out of tickets
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency repairs
  • Safely operate tools, equipment, and maintenance vehicles
  • Support seasonal facility needs (snow removal, pool readiness, landscaping support as needed)
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time allocation
  • Uphold Pine Canyon's standards of professionalism, safety, and service
