About The Position

Under general supervision, the Building Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM), and general repair work across golf, restaurant, banquet, and clubhouse facilities. This position supports both golf and food and beverage operations by ensuring the property, equipment, and building systems remain safe, functional, and well maintained. The purpose of this position is to help maintain a clean, professional, and safe environment for members, guests, and employees while responding to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements

High School Degree/GED preferred.
Vocational/Trade educational experience preferred.
Previous experience in facility maintenance, handyman services, or general repair required.
Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to recognize, communicate, and resolve maintenance concerns.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable and dependable with a strong attention to detail.
Strong customer service mindset when interacting with management, guests, members, and staff.
Self-starter and eager to learn.
Must be dependable and reliable.
Ability to use employee self-service on company’s human resources/payroll database.
Ability to use technology, systems, and equipment necessary to support maintenance and facility operations, including work order platforms, mobile devices, and communication tools.
Valid State Driver’s License
Ability to work schedule required to fulfill duties of position.
At times, an individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
Must seek approval from supervisor before incurring overtime
Schedule flexibility which may include weekends and holidays.

Regularly required to talk and actively listen.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination.

Responsibilities

General Facility Maintenance – Perform routine building maintenance and repair tasks throughout the golf club, restaurant, banquet areas, and related facilities. Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Painting and Cosmetic Repairs – Perform paint touch-ups, drywall patching, and minor surface repairs in guest, member, and employee areas.
Preventative Maintenance Programs – Follow established preventative maintenance schedules and complete routine inspections. Maintain basic documentation of completed PM activities.
Ice Machine Preventative Maintenance – Conduct routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of commercial ice machines.
Beverage and Water System Maintenance – Replace and maintain filters and components for: Water softeners Soda systems Coffee and beverage equipment
HVAC Support – Perform basic HVAC troubleshooting, filter replacement, and preventative maintenance. Assist with vendor coordination for larger repairs.
Electrical Maintenance – Replace light bulbs and fixtures. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs consistent with safety guidelines.
Plumbing – Perform basic plumbing tasks including clearing minor clogs, repairing drains, replacing fixtures, and maintaining pipes.
Installation and Assembly – Install shelves, wall-mounted equipment, signage, pictures, and fixtures.
Safety and Compliance – Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Properly use personal protective equipment and report safety concerns to management.
Vendor Coordination – Assist in coordinating with outside contractors and service providers as needed. Monitor vendor work and ensure compliance with property standards.
Property Inspections – Perform routine walk-throughs of the facility to identify repair needs and ensure a safe environment.
Equipment and Tool Maintenance – Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and notify management when repairs or replacements are needed.
Performs all other duties, as assigned.
