The position involves planning and executing projects from start to finish, maintaining various areas, and performing preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment. You will also be an active team member in the Facilities Department, troubleshooting and repairing equipment operations, and assisting other technicians as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of all power and hand tools.
• Proficient in welding, blazing, and soldering.
• High school diploma or GED; and two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

Nice To Haves

• Five years of direct experience in desired trade.
• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and training or experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair.
• Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects from beginning to end, including creating material lists and obtaining quotes.
• Maintain shop area, spare parts area, storage area, and inventory materials.
• Provide preventative maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair all equipment operations including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration.
• Inform supervisor of any trends or recurring problems with equipment or construction.
• Perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry tasks as requested.
• Assist other Facilities Technicians when required or assigned.
• Operate all tools of the trades safely and maintain them regularly.
