About The Position

As a Building Maintenance Technician II, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and ensuring the operational efficiency of our facilities. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Demonstrated background in facility upkeep with a proven grasp of building systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency and background in HVAC, plumbing, steam, electrical, and mechanical system maintenance and repair methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and debugging, skilled at pinpointing and resolving issues promptly.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, adept at task prioritization and handling numerous projects concurrently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working collaboratively with team members, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of hand and power tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with purified water systems, including testing, pretreatment, distillation, and distribution, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair activities of the facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, applying technical skills and knowledge.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation and durability of systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate and assist with major repairs, upgrades, and installations, collaborating with external contractors and vendors as needed.
  • Ensure detailed documentation of maintenance and repair tasks, recording completed work orders, tracking supply inventory, and adhering to equipment maintenance timetables.
  • Work with other departments and collaborators to address facility-related issues and implement improvements.
