About The Position

The district is in need of a full time maintenance electrical mechanic effective immediately. Applicants for the Electrical Mechanic must be able to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. They may also assist with the development of electrical plans and perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Must have at least three years of experience.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
• Ability to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electrical work.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Installing new electrical systems, wiring and equipment in school buildings.
• Performing regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on existing electrical system.
• Diagnosing and fixing electrical problems, including malfunctions and breakdowns.
• Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Collaborating with other technicians, engineers, and contractors.
• Testing the performance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Making emergency electrical repairs to ensure the safety and operation of school facilities.
