About The Position
Elmer Chocolate is the oldest family-owned chocolate company in America. Our factory in Ponchatoula is the 2nd-largest manufacturer of Valentine boxed chocolate in North America. Requirements
- Mechanical and plumbing skills
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and problem solve.
- Entrepreneurial spirit.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient software skills, Outlook, Word, Excel.
- 18 years of age & pass a drug screen & background check
- Reliable transportation & dependable attendance
- Ability to work overtime and weekends if needed
Nice To Haves
- Electronic skills a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and ongoing maintenance of factory building, including basic plumbing and electrical, changing filters, chemical tests on boilers, generator testing, etc.
- Perform preventative and ongoing basic maintenance of some assembly line machinery.
- Perform equipment changeovers for various product sizes on various packaging machinery.
- Assess needs in regards to maintenance, spare parts, modernization, improvement of process.
