CAA is looking for a full-time Building Inspector to join our expert team in Carson City. Requirements

• Associate's degree in Building Inspection Technology or equivalent experience
• Continued education and training in construction inspection practices
• At least three years of experience in building inspection, construction, or a related field

Nice To Haves

• ICC Certification as a Building Inspector (preferred but not required)
• Experience in structural or residential combination inspections
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems
• Experience in grading, right-of-way construction, or supervisory/lead roles

Responsibilities

• Performing field inspections to verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
• Issuing notices for code violations and maintaining thorough inspection records
• Assisting at the public counter and supporting plan check processes
• Working with contractors, developers, and the public to provide expert guidance

Benefits

• Pay Range: $27.00 - $36.06/hour (DOE)
