BUILDING INSPECTOR (Structural)

About the position

The purpose of this position is to inspect buildings and other structures, land use and land or building development or modification for structural conformance, and for conformity with zoning rules and regulations effective in the City. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Five years of experience as a supervisor in building construction or experience as an engineering, architect or any combination of the above
• Education that meets the State of Florida DBPR minimum qualifications for licensure
