The Clark County Building Department is seeking qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the Building Inspector I/II position within the Field Inspection Group. This position performs a variety of residential and light commercial building inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, local building codes, and adopted standards. The Building Inspector I/II conducts inspections of plumbing, mechanical, building and electrical systems for both new construction and existing structures. This role is ideal for individuals interested in a career path that combines fieldwork, public safety, and technical code knowledge. This position includes on-the-job training (OJT) in inspection procedures and in-depth code training to support advancement and professional certification. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.
