About The Position

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Intern to join their team! Are you seeking to enhance your exposure within the BIM/VDC field? The BIM internship is a full-time, paid position that will last for 10 weeks.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Self-motivated and eager learner who wants to contribute to the success of BIM initiatives.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Impeccable integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and updating 3D BIM models using software such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure model accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Conduct clash detection and coordinate resolution with various disciplines.
• Prepare visualizations, renderings, and technical drawings to support project presentations and deliverables.
• Participate in design review meetings and contribute to discussions on project improvements.
• Support the documentation and implementation of BIM standards and workflows.
