At Tyson Foods all Team Members are expected to practice safety standards, policies, and procedures. All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. Candidates will be considered for seasonal building maintenance type opening on the day shift. Job duties and responsibilities: Daily duties may include custodial type work such as, cleaning common areas both indoor and outdoors, pulling weeds, cleaning, and organizing the maintenance shops, landscaping, snow removal, operating industrial powered equipment, rigging, loading, and unloading equipment, painting. Lighting, carpentry, plumbing repairs and drain cleanouts. Preventative maintenance inspections on buildings, grounds, and utility equipment and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Seasonal work will end in October.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• At least 12 months of Maintenance experience
• Application/Resume must show at least 12 months of work experience in at least one (2) of the following: Rotating Machines, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical, Motors Control, Construction, Automotive, Powered industrial Trucks, Landscaping, plumbing, painting, carpentry
• Must be able and willing to read, write and interpret equipment manuals and technical instructions where required
• Excellent reasoning skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be able and willing to complete forklift training and operate a forklift
• Must be able and willing to drive a pickup truck and have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members including leadership
• Basic computer skills
• In order to complete daily job tasks, candidate must be willing and able to bend, kneel, twist, reach, and move around the department and work around moving machinery
• Some tasks require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 70 pounds
• This position requires candidate to perform tasks indoors and outdoors
• Indoor work is performed in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 30 to 45 degrees
• During the summer months, outdoor work is performed in temperatures ranging up to 95 degrees or higher and may require standing up to 10 hours per day
