About The Position

Join SALMON Health and Retirement as a Building & Grounds Repair Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our residents and staff. As a Building & Grounds Repair Assistant, you will perform routine maintenance and repair tasks across the building, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility upkeep. You will conduct preventative maintenance to minimize future issues, respond promptly to work orders and resident/staff requests, assist with snow removal and seasonal maintenance, support building security by locking/unlocking entrances and monitoring entry points, and maintain a safe work environment while following all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building maintenance, general repair, or a similar field.
• Hands-on knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout your shift.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Must have your own basic hand tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare, assisted living, or residential maintenance settings.
• Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
