Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
15+ years of experience in civil or commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
Experience with transportation infrastructure projects (bus terminals, transit centers, or similar) strongly preferred.
Experience managing construction projects valued over 250 million.
Proficient in construction management software and scheduling tools.
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Nice To Haves

Additional certifications (e.g., NCCER, LEED) are a plus.

Responsibilities

Project Oversight & Coordination Manage day-to-day construction operations for the bus terminal project, including structures, platforms, passenger facilities, and associated infrastructure.
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow and sequencing of activities.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to maintain alignment with project goals.
Scheduling & Planning Develop and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules.
Monitor progress and adjust plans to address delays or unforeseen conditions.
Ensure timely delivery and staging of materials and equipment.
Safety Management Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations on-site.
Conduct daily safety meetings, site inspections, and hazard assessments.
Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices at all times.
Quality Control Ensure all work meets project specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Conduct inspections and coordinate with quality control personnel.
Address deficiencies and implement corrective actions promptly.
Site Management Oversee site logistics, including access roads, traffic control, staging areas, and security.
Manage site utilities, temporary structures, and environmental controls.
Maintain organized and efficient job site conditions.
Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for owners, consultants, inspectors, and local agencies.
Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and milestones.
Participate in project meetings and reporting.
